What is required to get the best from my voice communications?

Network and Equipment

• To be able to utilise Liberty’s VoIP network you will need to be connected to the Internet with a minimum of ADSL (Broadband). ADSL2 makes it even better.
• You can download the Softphone, which can be easily set up. You will need headset with microphone or speakers with separate microphone.
• If you have a modem with extra LAN sockets you can plug in one of our Internet Phones. This is the best option.

Protocols

We support open standards such as SIP, IAX2 and H.264. We use a variety of codecs including; GSM, uLaw, aLaw, ilbc and G.722.

Compatiable Web Browsers:

We use the latest in Web2.0 technology, so make sure you use the very latest browsers available. This protects your security and will ensure the best Liberty experience.
